Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This page explains what information Moje Montessori collects, why, and what you can do about it. We’ve kept it as short and plain as we can.
The short version
- You can read everything on this site without telling us who you are.
- We don’t use analytics, advertising, or social media tracking on this site right now.
- We only collect personal information when you choose to send it: a message through our contact form, an email, or a comment.
- We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.
- If we ever add new tools, we’ll update this page first.
1. Who we are
Moje Montessori (mojemontessori.com) is a blog about Montessori toys and play for babies and toddlers, written by Miri. The site is operated by a U.S. company, and our mailing address is 1500 N Grant St, Ste N, Denver, CO 80203, USA. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Moje Montessori and the company that runs it.
Questions about your privacy? Email [email protected].
2. Information you give us
When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, your email address, the topic you choose, your message, and anything else you decide to include. The form sends your message to our inbox as an email. It isn’t stored in a database on the website.
When you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address, and website (optional) you enter, plus your comment. Your name, website, and comment are shown publicly. Your email address is never published. Along with each comment, WordPress (the software this site runs on) also stores your IP address and your browser’s user agent to help catch spam.
To show profile pictures next to comments, WordPress may send a coded version of your email address (called a hash) to Gravatar, a profile picture service run by Automattic, to check whether you have an account there. Gravatar’s privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy.
A small tip from one parent to another: comments are public, so think twice before sharing your child’s full name, photos, or where you live.
3. Information collected automatically
a) To deliver the site and keep it secure. Like nearly every website, our web host and Cloudflare (the service that speeds up and protects this site) automatically process technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the page that sent you here, and the date and time. This is used to load pages, stop attacks and spam, and fix problems. It isn’t used to build a profile of you.
b) Content loaded from other services. Some parts of a page, such as fonts, may load from third-party servers like Google Fonts. Your browser shares your IP address with them so they can deliver those files.
c) Spam protection on our contact form. Our form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a message comes from a person, not a bot. To do that, Cloudflare looks at information about your browser and device. Cloudflare says it doesn’t use this information for advertising. Its privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We only use the kind a site needs to work:
- Security cookies from Cloudflare (such as
__cf_bm), which help tell real visitors from bots. - Comment cookies. If you check “Save my name, email, and website in this browser” when commenting, WordPress saves those details in cookies for one year, so you don’t have to type them again.
- Login cookies, only for people who manage the site.
- Caching cookies. Our caching system may set a technical cookie so you’re shown the right version of a page.
We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though you may need to retype your details when commenting.
5. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- read and reply to your messages,
- publish and moderate comments,
- keep the site running, secure, and free of spam, and
- follow the law.
We don’t send newsletters or marketing emails. If we start a newsletter, you’ll only receive it if you sign up.
6. Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that help us run this site, and only what they need to do their job:
- our web hosting provider,
- Cloudflare (site delivery, security, and form spam protection),
- our email provider, which stores the messages you send us, and
- the comment services described in section 2, if they apply.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety or our legal rights. If Moje Montessori moves to a different company or is sold, your information would go with it, and this policy would still apply to it.
We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t share it for targeted advertising.
7. Tracking across websites and “Do Not Track”
We don’t use advertising or analytics services that follow you across other websites, and we don’t allow third parties to collect your personal information over time and across sites through Moje Montessori. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because we don’t do that kind of tracking in the first place, the signal doesn’t change how this site works.
8. How long we keep it
- Messages: as long as we need to answer you, and a while after in case you write back. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- Comments: for as long as the comment stays on the site. Ask us and we’ll remove it.
- Technical logs: kept by our host and Cloudflare for a limited time, then deleted.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you,
- correct it, or
- delete it.
Just email [email protected]. We may ask you to write from the same email address you used before, so we know the request really comes from you. Some U.S. states, like California and Colorado, give their residents specific privacy rights. We’re happy to honor these requests for anyone, wherever you live, and we’ll respond within the time the law allows.
10. Children’s privacy
Moje Montessori is written for parents and caregivers. It isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email [email protected] and we’ll delete it.
11. Keeping information safe
The site uses HTTPS, and access to messages and site settings is limited to the people who run Moje Montessori. No website or email system is 100% secure, though, so please don’t send us sensitive information like health records or payment details.
12. Links to other websites
Our articles link to other sites, such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, the CDC, and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. When you click through, their privacy policies apply, not ours.
13. Where your information is processed
We’re based in the United States. The services we use, and the people who help run this site, may process information in the United States and in other countries.
14. Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. If the change is a big one, like adding analytics, we’ll add a short note at the top of this page explaining what changed.
